Sedona Real Inn Project

In 2019, I was commissioned to create a new lobby treatment for Sedona Real Inn & Suites. The project included two freestanding desks for checking guests in and out, a wall array for storage, a display wall for the sale of items, and also a hallway treatment that allowed guests to post photos of their Sedona experiences on a wire mesh. The project featured rusted corrugated steel panels, Ponderosa pine live edge trim and structural elements, knotty alder raised panel doors and cabinets. The goal was to create a rustic Western feel in keeping with the rest of hotel’s lobby, and that reflects the Sedona landscape and history. It was a really fun project that called for the use of local Ponderosa pine from a mill in Flagstaff, as well as metal for the panels and mesh. Countertops are granite, provided by a local artisan.

This project has a unique look setting the initial feel of the hotel that really adds to the overall experience as guests enter.
