I have collected, refinished and restored antiques as a hobby, for 20 years. I’m pretty good at it, but I know my limitations. I have yet to see David’s. I have commissioned him to do all kinds of woodworking projects for me, and he has never failed to deliver a beautiful result. Whether making rockers for a Stickley rocker, planing, glueing, and refinishing table tops, or engaged in a very delicate restoration…David’s care, focus and attention to detail are impressive. I brought him a set of chairs that were very, very old, and hand-carved. They needed a lot of TLC, and I didn’t dare to try to repair them. He did a fabulous job. To be honest, David’s care, focus and attention to detail make all of my work look clumsy.
